Horse listening is the ability to intuit what your horse is communicating with the subtlest of signals, almost like a whisper. Candida Baker, author, journalist and equine therapist from Byron Bay, Australia, says ‘Listening is observing, listening is mindfulness. Listening is understanding that if a horse is presenting with behavioural problems, it may be pain,. It may be trauma. It maybe that the horse is simply unable to do what the owner is asking it to do.’
