The deep feminine is something that I have been rediscovering in myself since I read Women Who Run With The Wolves whilst I was doing my shiatsu practitioner training in Bristol. So what an honour for Green Lane Films to have been asked to film Anne Baring‘s talks on her short course at Schumacher College called ‘Drawing on Deep Feminine for Action in the World.’
Anne Baring was deeply affected as a child by the Second World War, and has wanted to understand the causes which could drive human beings to the depths of depravity and the heights of altruism and self-sacrifice.
An graduate from Oxford, Anne went off to India and the Far East, commissioned to photograph works of art from the finest museums in Asia. She asked herself some deep soul questions as she travelled: Who am I? What is the meaning and purpose of life? Why am I here on this planet? It was there that she learned sacred literature and art of ancient and extraordinary cultures that responded to those questions.
